Cutting tools have existed since before the dawn of human civilization.
They have been used across a wide range of fields, including agriculture, hunting, cooking, medicine, and manufacturing.
To pass on these irreplaceable technologies to future generations, we ask ourselves: what should KAMIYA be today?
By thinking together, taking on challenges, and building for the future, we pursue this vision through our “100-Year Enterprise Project.
100yearsProject

A century is an immense span of time—
and our way of life continues to evolve.
Cutting tools have existed since before the rise of human civilization and have been utilized across a wide range of fields, including agriculture, hunting, cooking, medicine, and manufacturing.
Even today, they remain indispensable to our daily lives, continuously evolving alongside the advancement of civilization.
The reason we are able to enjoy the richness of modern life is because our predecessors have consistently supported the evolution of cutting tools—through their wisdom, dedication, and technological innovation—in response to increasingly diverse and specialized needs.
It is our responsibility to carry this legacy forward and pass these technologies on to the next generation.

We envision the future 30 years from now—
and build it together as a team.
Today, industrial cutting tools are used across a wide range of applications, including steel, wood, and plastics, as well as food products such as bread and fresh goods. They are also essential in advanced materials such as films used in polarizing plates and precision electronic components like multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), making them indispensable in virtually every aspect of daily life.
However, if we focus only on the present and become complacent, the “normal” way of life we know today may eventually collapse, and we may fail to leave a bright future for the next generation.
To preserve and pass on Japan’s world-class cutting tool manufacturing technologies, and to ensure a seamless transition to the next generation in the best possible form, KAMIYA has launched the “100-Year Enterprise Project.”
Our goal is to become a company that contributes to building a more sustainable society—one in which more people can live fulfilling lives—especially for the younger generation and the children who will shape the future. To achieve this, we will continue to pursue a wide range of initiatives without being bound by conventional frameworks.
