Technology
The Heritage of KAMIYA: Redefining the Standards of Industrial Tooling.

Since our founding in 1953, KAMIYA KIKO has been a pioneer in the "Custom-Made Industrial Blade" industry. We have supported a vast array of cutting technologies across diverse industrial sectors, both domestically and internationally.
Our journey began with the manufacturing of circular saws for wood processing. As the global economy has diversified, so did our expertise—expanding into ferrous and non-ferrous metals, electronic components, semiconductors, high-performance films, and liquid crystal panels (such as polarizing plates). We continue to provide custom-engineered solutions to meet the increasingly sophisticated and diverse needs of our clients.

In today’s manufacturing landscape, we gain a lot from a multiplying effect amongst a cutting-edge machinery and human craftsmanship is essential. While automated mechanical technology provides high precision and productivity, human artistry—driven by creativity, intuition, and decades of experience—is vital for the optimal refinement of every blade.
At KAMIYA, we never compromise on either. We are committed to a manufacturing philosophy that maximizes both operational efficiency and creative craftsmanship. As a result, we have built a proven track record of innovation, successfully delivering specialized and ultra-thin blades that are often considered too challenging to manufacture elsewhere.
By fully leveraging our mastery of techniques—such as electrical discharge grinding for PCD edges, carbide brazing for large-diameter ultra-thin circular knives, and high-precision setting for fine-toothed saws—we deliver the optimal tooling solutions our customers require.
Furthermore, by applying the expertise gained through the production of precision cutting tools, we also offer manufacturing services for various high-precision components, including ultra-thin blades for the electronic components sector, for which demand has risen significantly in recent years.
Proposal capability
For KAMIYA's blade consultants, the ultimate mission is to ensure the success of our customers.

There are new hights to performance standards only a made-to-order industrial blades can achive; as they are customized to meet the specific needs of our customers.
To achieve this, Kamiya Saw & Knife Mfg. Co., Ltd. starts with thorough communication to accurately understand what is optimal and necessary for our customers.
For our blade consultants, the ultimate mission is to ensure the success of our customers' challenges.

Our clients have diverse needs when it comes to their blades, ranging from achieving business efficiency and cost reduction to extending lifespan, enhancing production efficiency, precision, and reducing noise. At Kamiya Saw & Knife Mfg. Co., Ltd. , we aim to visit our clients whenever possible to conduct detailed interviews, understanding the specific operating conditions and requirements.
Furthermore, we maintain a database of the industrial blades we manufacture, ensuring that information is readily accessible. This database serves as a tool for implementing improvements in manufacturing processes. It also enables us to respond quickly to requests for expedited delivery, ensuring short lead times.
Service Capability
Manufacturing, sales, and after-sales service are seamlessly integrated as a single entity, allowing us to optimize environmentally conscious tool use through re-sharpening and re-coating.

At KAMIYA, we bring the 'KAMIYA Ecosystem' to life through our proprietary re-sharpening and re-coating technologies. Building upon the traditional 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), we introduce a fourth element—Respect for our customers' business and the environment—to establish our core 4R concept. This holistic approach has been widely adopted by our customers as a key driver in achieving their SDG targets.
By significantly extending tool life, we continue to earn high praise from our customers for our tangible contributions to waste reduction, resource preservation, and environmental sustainability.

Choosing between restoring the performance of a used blade through re-sharpening and re-coating or replacing it with a new one is a decision that directly affects our customers' profitability. Additionally, a blade's true performance depends on more than just sharpness; key factors like tool materials and surface coatings must be optimized for each specific usage scenario.
Considering the workpiece material, shape, and application, we evaluate the entire setup—including the cutting machinery—to provide comprehensive, one-stop solutions customized to your needs.
