Carbide Metal Saw / Dicing Process
The Customer's Problem
・As the number of cuts increases, the cutting surface geometry and kerf tend to change, so maintaining consistency as much as possible is required.
・Improvement of cutting surface accuracy and tool life.
Our Approach
・By switching from dicing blades to high-hardness carbide metal saws, changes in cutting surface geometry were minimized even as the number of cuts increased.
・To ensure more stable tool life and shape retention, the carbide composition was analyzed and optimized, leading to performance improvements.
・By significantly increasing the number of teeth compared to conventional designs and optimizing rake angles and blade geometry, chip-out issues on the workpiece were greatly reduced, resulting in improved cutting surface accuracy.
